The Project of the Lithuanian Art Gallery Participators’ Association: the Art Gallery Fair ARTVILNIUS’ 09

Task
During the first in Lithuania international art gallery fairARTVILNIUS’ 09, to flood the spacious Lithuanian Exhibition and Conference Centre LITEXPO by art admirers able to buy pieces of art brought to Vilnius.

Actions performed
The art fair ARTVILNIUS’ 09 is an event having no analogues in the Baltic countries and one of the biggest projects of the program “Vilnius, the Capital of European Culture 2009”. The fair was also presented as a unique chance to see the newest modern art pieces from the entire world in one place and to invest one’s savings by one of the most reliable ways, i.e. into pieces of art.

Results
On the opening day, the fair was visited by about 7 thousand art admirers. Regardless of the economical decay, during the fair more than half of hundred pieces of art were sold. The news about the ARTVILNIUS’ 09 was spread not only by the Lithuanian mass media, but also by international mass media.
